This dish from Belarus can be cooked both in a slow cooker and in a regular frying pan.
The dish is high-calorie and very satisfying.
The most unpleasant procedure in making potato pancakes is grating potatoes, but if you have an immersion blender, you can skip this procedure and grind with a blender, but chop first.
Potato — 1 kg;
Minced beef + pork 50 x 50 — 500 gr;
Eggs — 1 pc;
Flour — 2 table.
Sour cream — 2 table.
Turnip onion — 1 pc;
Pepper, salt — to taste;
Rast oil for frying — 100 ml.
Potato pancakes, preparation:
We rub the potatoes on a fine grater.
Add egg, flour, sour cream, salt to taste and mix.
Add chopped onion to the minced meat, salt and pepper.
We turn on the slow cooker on the «Frying» mode for 30 minutes, pour in the oil and warm it up for about five minutes.
We spread the first pancake about 0.5 cm thick and with a diameter smaller than the bottom of the pan into the heated oil (for easy flipping of the pancake).
Spread the minced meat on the potato mass with a layer of 0.5 cm and cover with a potato mass of 0.5 cm on top.
We fry potato pancakes in a slow cooker with the lid closed for 3-4 minutes, then open the lid, turn it over and close it again.
From this amount of products, 4 pancakes are obtained, the frying time of 30 minutes is enough for this amount.
After cooking the entire amount, put all the fried pancakes back into the slow cooker (the slow cooker is turned off) and close the lid for about ten minutes.
When serving, pour sour cream on the table, you can add fresh herbs.
